Sterjovski on as Aussies nick last-gasp win in Bahrain

Derby County midfielder Mile Sterjovski helped Australia to a last-gasp win in their World Cup qualifier against Bahrain.

Sterjovski came on as an 87th-minute substitute at the National Stadium in Manama, replacing Everton’s Tim Cahill with the game still goalless.
But the Socceroos snatched victory in the fourth minute of stoppage time with a goal from Marco Bresciano.
The result consolidated Australia’s position at the top of Asia qualifying Group One, with three wins out of three.
